Frequently asked questions

Short answers about how this site works, what it costs, who writes it and how to get in touch.

Is everything on this site really free?

Yes. Every guide, tool and roadmap step is free, with no account, no paywall and no usage limit. Advertising pays for the hosting.

Do I need to sign up for anything?

No. There are no accounts on this site. Your theme choice and roadmap progress are stored in your own browser, not on a server.

Do the tools send my data anywhere?

No. The JSON formatter, regex tester, Base64 converter, generators and colour checker run as JavaScript in your browser. You can disconnect from the internet and they still work.

Who writes the content?

The site operator, working with AI drafting tools, with every page reviewed and fact-checked by a person before publication. The editorial policy sets out the process.

How current is the material?

Every guide shows a last-updated date. Software moves quickly, so always check the official documentation of the tool you are using for version-specific details.

I found a mistake. What should I do?

Report it through the contact page. Corrections of fact are made quickly, and substantive changes get a note saying what changed.

Can I use the code examples in my own projects?

Yes, freely, commercially or otherwise, with no attribution required and no warranty. Article text is copyrighted — quote it with a link rather than republishing it.

Will the cost estimator give me a real quote?

No. It produces an indicative planning range from generalised market assumptions. A real quote requires a supplier who has read your actual scope.

What happens when I send a project enquiry?

The form opens your own email program with a structured brief so you can review it before sending. It goes to a person, and sending it commits you to nothing.

Is this site connected to a company with a similar name?

No. Code.House is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any business using the name Codehouse, Code House or anything similar. See the trademark notice.

Why do I see advertising?

Advertising funds the site and keeps everything free. Ads are served by Google AdSense and selected automatically; they are not endorsements. You can choose non-personalised advertising in the cookie notice.

Can I advertise, sponsor or partner with the site?

Yes — the sponsorship page explains the options, and there is an enquiry link at the top of every page.

Still stuck?

Use the contact page. For sponsorship, advertising, partnership or domain questions there is a dedicated enquiry link at the top of every page.
